Israel and the United States of America (US) are the two biggest agents of TERROR in the world, and the greatest threats to the survival of our species. Would anyone be surprised if Israel, or the US, launched nuclear weapons in the next few weeks, months, or years? The long standing psychopathic savagery of both states is the biggest reason why we MUST abolish nuclear weapons once and for all. It is not North Korea, Iran, Russia, China, Pakistan, or the boogeyman, who presents the biggest risk to our existence. It is Israel, and the United States, and it’s not even close.

I was proud to join our Japanese & Korean brothers and sisters, as well as other allies, in a march of solidarity to the United Nations (UN), in preparation for the 11th Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). Many of the protesters were first and second generation Korean atomic bomb survivors who previously visited major cities across the United States in connection with the NPT conference. According to the A-Bomb Tribunal website, “Throughout the tour, survivors raised international awareness about the more than 70,000 Korean victims of the atomic bombings—many of whose stories have remained largely unheard globally. They also emphasized that Korean survivors have neither disappeared from history nor remained silent, but have continuously struggled for recognition and redress. The tour was jointly organized by SPARK (Solidarity for Peace and Reunification of Korea), the International Organizing Committee of the A-Bomb Tribunal, and Korean atomic bomb victims. It brought renewed attention to the need for accountability, including an official apology and reparations from the United States for the historical injustice and prolonged suffering endured by Korean survivors.”

The US & Israeli Legacies of Mass Murder, and Genocide

In addition to their Genocide in Gaza, which has killed an estimated 680,000 people over the last 2.5 years alone, the latest illegal, immoral, and unprovoked wars of aggression by US & Israeli military forces in Iran and Lebanon, have also killed thousands of our brothers and sisters, and displaced millions more. How does the United States (US), and Israel, get away with deliberately mass-murdering 168 School CHILDREN in Minab, Iran (arguably the single biggest US massacre of civilians since My Lai, Vietnam), and their ongoing incremental genocide in Gaza (one of the worst crimes in human history)? Easy. The same way that the US has gotten away with murdering over 4.7 million people (and counting), in the illegal, US led post 9/11 wars, and tens of millions more since World War 2! In other words, the United States and Israel have always slaughtered with impunity, so why should this moment be any different? Did you know that prior to the United States’ unnecessary nuclear bomb strikes in 1945, where US leaders, including Harry Truman, and Robert Oppenheimer, purposely targeted, and killed/eviscerated, hundreds of thousands of our brothers and sisters in Hiroshima, and Nagasaki (in an effort to send a message to the Soviet Union), the United States of War (European colonial settlers), had already racked up an estimated murder count in the “tens of millions” as well (comprised mostly of Native Americans & Africans)?

According to the great Howard Zinn, “So, Columbus and his successors were not coming into an empty wilderness, but into a world which in some places was as densely populated as Europe itself, where the culture was complex, where human relations were more egalitarian than in Europe and where the relations among men, women, children and nature were more beautifully worked out than perhaps any place in the world.” And the European Colonizers, who later called themselves the United States of America, destroyed it, and started a genocide that took tens of millions of lives over hundreds of years.

Simply put, dehumanizing, killing, and destroying, are what the United States and Israel do best. Unfortunately, the US doesn’t have a mechanism in place to hold genocidists, and war criminals, accountable (otherwise, every living US president would be hanged). Did you know that Gaza is about the same size as Philadelphia, and that its population was over 2.4 million prior to Oct. 7, 2023 (nearly half of whom were children)? Since that time, it is estimated that Israel, and the US, have dropped a tonnage of explosives equivalent to 6-8 atomic bombs (about 70,000 tons of targeted explosives) on Gaza. According to Professor Paul Rogers, “If you look at the total tonnage of weapons dropped, mainly bombs but missiles and tens of thousands of artillery shells, you get a total of something like 70,000 tonnes of explosives. Back in the Cold War days, we used to say a kilotonne is equivalent to a thousand tonnes of TNT. We are now using explosives that are much more powerful than TNT. But if we do use that figure, 70 kilotonnes of weapons dropped across Gaza, Hiroshima was about 12 kilotonnes, so we are talking about the equivalent of six Hiroshimas…but because these bombs drop individually, they are spread much more, so you get an extraordinary level of devastation. It’s certainly more than Dresden, certainly more than the other 2,000 bomber raids in the Second World War…This is about as bad as it [gets] outside the Second World War. Very few people realise just how intense this has been, and how continual. We’ve not seen much of it on the television here, compared to channels in the Middle East, which means right across the Arab world, the degree of anger – and, I have to say, hatred – of what is happening, is palpable.” Think about that for a moment.

The best estimates that the most trusted sources can come up with (The Lancet, Steven Donziger, Francesca Albanese, Ralph Nader, etc.), is that at least 600,000 of our Palestinian brothers & sisters have been murdered by the United States and Israel over the last 2.5 years alone, including over 300,000 CHILDREN and BABIES! How can we not be outraged, and “unhinged” (as one friend called me), about the US-Israeli genocide in Palestine? It is happening in real time, and already qualifies as one of the worst crimes in human history. We should be much more alarmed by the people who are NOT “unhinged” and speaking out against the genocide, than we are by the millions (perhaps billions) who are disgusted and angry, and trying to stand up for truth and justice.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants on November 21, 2024, for Benjamin Netanyahu (aka, Mileikowsky). Netanyahu faces charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity, including the use of starvation as a weapon of war. But wait, it gets worse. Israel is an apartheid state that has been committing mass murder, and incremental genocide for decades. If any country should be denied access to nuclear weapons, it is the racist, genocidal state (and society) of Israel. However, since Israel already has nuclear weapons, we MUST do everything we can to permanently remove/destroy their stockpiles as soon as possible. But here’s the thing, Israel refuses to cooperate with weapons inspectors, and it also has a nuclear strategy that includes something called the “Samson Option”, whereby Israel would launch a massive nuclear strike on Palestinians, and their Arab neighbors (and possibly European cities and beyond), if it ever felt truly threatened. For our species to survive, and for justice to prevail, the psychotic state of Israel must be held accountable for the genocide in Gaza (and countless other crimes in their region), and somehow be dismantled (both the state of Israel, and its cache of nuclear weapons).

The U.S., in other words, is basically similar to Russia or most other dubious “electoral” “democratic” countries. We weren’t formerly, but we clearly are now. How can we trust the racist, mass murdering psychopathic leaders of the United States, and Israel, to make rational decisions that honor everyone on the planet? History tells us that we can’t. Which is why we need to abolish all nuclear weapons before it’s too late. Iran, or any country, would be foolish not to pursue nuclear weapon capabilities, considering the unhinged nature of both the United States and Israel. According to Pulitzer Prize winning author Chris Hedges, “Israel’s reputed nuclear arsenal of some 300 warheads is a powerful incentive for Iran to retain the capacity to build a nuclear arsenal of its own. Iran, like Hamas, is never going to render itself defenseless against those seeking its annihilation.”

The bottom line? The Bulletin of the Scientific Scientists’ Science and Security Board (SASB), is a globally recognized organization with a specific focus on “nuclear risk, climate change, and disruptive technologies.” Their latest statement reads as follows: “The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists Science and Security Board today sets the Doomsday Clock at 85 seconds to midnight, the closest it has ever been to catastrophe.” In other words, due to US-Israeli madness (genocide, mass murder campaigns, unchecked aggression, etc.), the world is now closer than ever before to nuclear annihilation. As I shared in a previous post, if organized societies end as a result of a nuclear war, and 90-98% of the world’s population disappears due to starvation, and a nuclear winter (as the great Daniel Ellsberg estimated), it will be due to the rampant arrogance, stupidity, greed, and psychopathy of the United States (and its hegemonic pursuits). The complete disregard for life is staggering. Israel is no different than Nazi Germany at the height of its wickedness, and the United States could have stopped Israel on day one. The US chose instead to double down on its unbridled support of the genocidal, nuclear armed, psychotic state, and here we are, on the brink of a regional war in the Middle East, and possibly World War III, and nuclear catastrophe. So yes, we need to abolish nuclear weapons wherever they exist before it is too late.

August 6th, and 9th, 2025, marked the 80th anniversary of the US atomic bombings of Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. The United States purposely targeted civilian populations in Japan, and is still the only country to use nuclear weapons against another country. The US has been slaughtering tens of millions of innocent people with impunity for hundreds of years, with a propaganda machine that always justifies its ongoing “wars”, terror campaigns, and boundless military spending, by convincing Americans that the world is a dangerous place.
