Supporting Israel today, is no different than supporting Nazi Germany at the height of its power. Israel’s US backed genocide in Gaza is one of the worst crimes in human history. If you are still knowingly silent on the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza, then you are complicit. And if you still champion Israel’s heinous crimes, willful ignorance notwithstanding, then you qualify as a psychopath. I have read that racist beliefs, and the dehumanization of certain groups can be appealing to people with sociopathic/psychopathic tendencies, as it can trigger even less empathy or compassion for others. According to Oxford University, “Tragically, history is replete with anecdotes suggesting that human beings have a tendency to dehumanize others and that this dehumanized perception is associated with reduced empathy for the pain of victims and with psychological and legal denial of their human rights and extreme violence against them. This is also consistent with political, legal, and ethical theory suggesting that an individual’s humanity, personhood, or human dignity is essential to the acknowledgement and enforcement of that individual’s rights….If implicit dehumanization of a target social group dampens the response of neural empathic pain mechanisms to that group, this could help shed light on the long anecdotal and historical relation between dehumanization and the catastrophic human rights abuses, such as torture and genocide, that have stubbornly persisted, along with implicit biases, across time and legal culture. It could also shed light upon the insidiously unconscious nature of social prejudice and the impact of dehumanizing hate speech and current legal fictions of ‘personhood’ in enabling it.”

The US-Israeli genocide has not only confirmed my worst fears about the country, and culture, that I was born into, but also how I will forever see each person in my life, including friends, and family members. I now know how American chattel slavery, savage US bombings of civilian populations, and illegal US led wars & genocides are allowed to happen. I have lost more than a few friends, and family members, over the last two years alone due to their willful ignorance, and undying support of Israel’s ongoing war crimes, and genocide. Who knew that there were so many Jewish supremacists, racists, Islamophobes, and psychopaths walking among us? As per Omar El Akkad, “The moral component of history, the most necessary component, is simply a single question, asked over and over again: When it mattered, who sided with justice and who sided with power? What makes moments such as this one so dangerous, so clarifying, is that one way or another everyone is forced to answer.”

I lost a close family member as a child, and it took me decades to recover. How does any child begin to heal after witnessing the mass murder of her entire family? Many Palestinians have lost hundreds of family members, and yet somehow manage to remain noble, and forward moving. I recently learned more about the term “Sumud”, which is a Palestinian concept that means, “steadfastness, an act of unyielding resistance and defiance.” Among Palestinians, it signifies a deeply ingrained cultural value. Sumud is the ability to both endure and resist oppression in all its forms, whether physical, psychological or cultural. Its practice is yet another example of the wisdom, strength, and determination of our Palestinian brothers and sisters.

All children are our children, and for the Palestinians who are lucky enough to survive, they will face an entire lifetime of intense recovery from the “Hell on Earth” nightmare that they have endured. How could anyone not be damaged? How do you rehabilitate from a lifetime of constant Israeli terror in the form of daily bombardments, dehumanizing harassment, ethnic cleansing, and genocide? Did you know that over 95% of children living in Gaza were already suffering from PTSD, prior to the beginning of the US-Israeli Genocide in October, 2023? Even if the remaining kids in Gaza survive, what will their future prospects look like, assuming they will be able to break the chains of the Israeli occupation? The United States and Israel MUST be held accountable, and MUST never be forgiven for the absolute EVIL they have wrought.

US-backed Aid Distribution Points in Gaza are Sites of Orchestrated Killing
Palestinians are not starving, they are being “Starved To Death”, by Israel, and the United States, the two biggest agents of terror in the world. The United Nations, Doctors Without Borders, and many other human rights organizations are calling for the dismantling of the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF)”, which is a criminal organization that is mass murdering our Palestinian Brothers and Sisters seeking aid. As per the UN, “Under any circumstances, when war crimes are overlooked in exchange for temporary relief, impunity can become normalised. Yet, in this case, we are leaving a State accused of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity in charge of feeding the population affected by the genocide without oversight and with impunity”, the experts said. Israeli forces and foreign military contractors continue to open indiscriminate fire on people seeking aid at so-called “distribution sites” operated by GHF, since it was set up to take-over functions previously performed by United Nations agencies, most notably UNRWA, the UN’s aid agency for Palestinian refugees. Nearly 1,400 people have been killed and more than 4000 injured while seeking food. At least 859 people have been killed around GHF sites since the beginning of GHF’s operations in late May 2025. The sites are especially difficult to access to the most vulnerable conditions, such as women, children, persons with disabilities and older persons. Calling it “humanitarian” adds on to Israel’s humanitarian camouflage and is an insult to the humanitarian enterprise and standards,” the experts said.”
Since Israel and the United States made unsubstantiated claims against the United Nations Relief and Workers Agency (UNRWA), Palestinians have had no choice but to seek food at GHF sites, which have been described as “Death Traps” set up by Israel and the US military. As per journalist Chris Hedges, “It’s just bait. They bait. It’s to lure starving Palestinians to the south. They only give food at four hubs for an hour a day. It’s highly inadequate. It’s exactly what they did in the Warsaw Ghetto, where the Nazis starved the residents of the Warsaw Ghetto, and then offered loaves of bread if you would get on the trains. This is exactly the same tactic.”

According to Doctors Without Borders, “The so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation is a deadly scheme that must be dismantled. People need access to food and lifesaving aid now…This is not aid. This is orchestrated killing…An analysis of MSF medical data, patient testimonies, and firsthand medical witnessing at the two clinics point to both targeted and indiscriminate violence by Israeli forces and private American contractors against starved Palestinians at food distribution sites run by the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). These are sites of orchestrated killing and dehumanization.” The United States and Israel MUST be held accountable, and MUST never be forgiven for the GENOCIDE in Gaza.

In addition to being targeted, and mass murdered by Israeli forces, Palestinian CHILDREN are also being abducted, imprisoned and tortured for information. As per journalist Nora Barrows Friedman: “Meanwhile, Israeli and American mercenary forces operating the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation sites continue to trap, injure and kill starving Palestinians every day. More than 1,200 (1,400) Palestinians have been killed and more than 8,000 have been injured trying to obtain aid since the GHF began its operations on 27 May, according to the health ministry in Gaza. A group of children who were kidnapped in late June by Israeli forces at a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation site in Rafah, in southern Gaza, were released this past week and described their brutal torture and detention in Israel’s Sde Teiman concentration camp.”

Child Facing Starvation in Gaza (Mondoweiss)
According to Pulitzer Prize winning author Chris Hedges, “Israelis do not see the images of skeletal corpses of Palestinian children who they have starved to death as a curse. They do not see the slain families they gun down at food hubs, designed not to deliver aid but lure starving Palestinians into a massive concentration camp in the south of Gaza in preparation for deportation, as a war crime. Israelis do not look at the savage bombing and shelling that kill or wound dozens of Palestinian civilians, where an average of 28 children die daily, as anything extraordinary. They do not see the wasteland of Gaza, pulverized by bombs and methodically being torn down by bulldozers and excavators, leaving virtually the entire population of Gaza homeless, as barbaric. They do not see the destruction of water purification plants, decimation of hospitals and clinics, where doctors and medical staff are often unable to work because they are weak from malnutrition, as savage. They do not blink at the assassinations of doctors as well as journalists, 232 (270?), of whom have been murdered for trying to document the horror. Israelis have blinded themselves morally and intellectually. They view the genocide through the lens of a bankrupt media and political class that tells them only what they want to hear and shows them only what they want to see. They are intoxicated by the power of their industrial weapons and license to kill with impunity. They are drunk on self-adulation and the fantasy that they are the vanguard of civilization. They believe that the extermination of a people, including children, condemned as human contaminants, makes the world, especially their world, a happier and safer place. They are the heirs of Pol Pot, the killers that carried out the genocides in East Timor, Rwanda and Bosnia and, yes, the Nazis. Israel, like all genocidal states — no population since World War II has been dispossessed and starved with such speed and ruthlessness – has a final solution that would have earned the stamp of approval from Adolf Eichmann.”

Again, the United States, and Israel, are the two biggest agents of TERROR in the world, and the greatest threats to the survival of our species. How so? Israel is a “satanic state” that has an estimated 300-400 nuclear warheads. Israel also has a nuclear strategy that apparently includes something called the “Samson Option”, whereby Israel would launch a massive nuclear strike on Palestinians, and their Arab neighbors (and possibly European cities), if it ever felt truly threatened. For our species to survive, and for justice to prevail, Israel must be held accountable for the genocide in Gaza, and somehow be dismantled. As for the United States of War? According to Brown University’s Costs of War Project, the United States has killed between 4.5-4.7 million innocent people in the illegal, US led, post 9/11 wars alone. The United States has also killed over 20 million innocent people since World War 2, and outspends the next 10 countries combined, including Russia and China, on its military. So, yeah, the US and Israel, are by far, the biggest agents of terror in the world, and the greatest threats to the survival of our species.

August 6th, and 9th, marked the 80th anniversary of the US atomic bombings of Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. The United States purposely targeted civilian populations (instantly killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people, and ruining the lives of millions more), and is still the only country to use nuclear weapons against another country. The US-Israeli genocide in Gaza could have been stopped by the United States on day one, nearly two years ago, but unfortunately, the US has never been serious about peace, at least not in my lifetime. In fact, the United States has been slaughtering millions of innocent people with impunity for centuries. The US propaganda machine always tries to justify its ongoing “wars”, terror campaigns, and boundless military spending, by convincing Americans that the world is a dangerous place.
For the record, there is no Danger. We ARE the Danger.

Jeremy Scahill on Israel murdering 6 more heroic Palestinian journalists:
“I’m speaking to you this morning in a state of great sorrow about Israel’s assassination, murder, of our colleague, the great, brave journalist, Anas Al-Sharif, and five other journalists in a strike on Sunday night. It was a direct hit on a tent that these journalists were living in on the grounds of Al-Shifa Hospital. And Anas Al-Sharif may not be a household name in Western audiences, but in the Arabic language world, he was widely seen as the epic journalistic hero documenting the genocide of his own people for these past 22 months. The Israelis made clear that they intended to murder Anas Al-Sharif because of his voice, because he was bearing witness, because his words and his images that he broadcast to the world resonated with people. And it’s not that he was unknown in the Western world. People who are paying attention saw the footage, saw the reporting of Anas Al-Sharif, and he refused to leave Gaza. He said that he was going to remain to document this genocide against his people. More than 200 of our Palestinian colleagues, by some estimates 270 Palestinian media workers have been murdered by Israel in assassination strikes and other bombings since the genocidal war began. And it’s not just Israel that should bear the responsibility for these criminal acts, these attacks against not only the individuals that they’re killing, but against the institution of journalism, against the institution of truth-telling, but also the United States and other governments that arm Israel, that support Israel, that give it political backing, and legal backing, and diplomatic backing…The pyramid of lies that Israel has built to justify the murder not only of journalists, but of Palestinian children are a disgrace and they have been parroted by so many Western media outlets. And we’re going to get into all of this in a few moments. But before we do, I want to just read to all of you, and some of you may have seen this, but I want to read to you the last will and testament that Anas al Sharif wrote. He wrote it in April of this year, and he knew he was going to be killed. He called on other journalists around the world to stand up for the Palestinian journalists who were being systematically hunted and murdered by Israel. Our correspondent, Hossam Shabbat, was also assassinated in a targeted strike using a munition drop from a quadcopter that severed his body in half as he had gotten out of his car to go and try to interview forcibly displaced Palestinians, another brave hero who should go down in history as one of the best journalists of this time. They put us, all of these Palestinian journalists, put Western media to shame with their bravery, with their tenacity, with their integrity. At Drop Site News, we stand with all of the martyred journalists. We view them as our colleagues and their names and their legacy should forever be remembered.” – Journalist Jeremy Scahill, is a co-founder of DropSite News.

“After almost two years of genocide, you feel like you run out of words to just express the horror and revulsion…I will never forget how journalists in the Western media shed tears over fabricated accounts about October 7th, fabricated stories about what happened to Israelis, and have just accepted as normal, or even in some cases support the most depraved violence you can imagine against Palestinians, that has been nonstop for nearly two years. It really breaks the brain and it tests the soul to think about how dehumanization of an entire people can lend the same group of people to just accept or can allow them to accept depraved, horrific violence on the one hand, and then cry tears over fabricated atrocity propaganda intended to justify violence towards Palestinians. And I think this is something that the media industry has to reckon with from here on out. And as Sharif said, I think no one will look at these media institutions the same ever again.” –Leila Al-Aryan (Al Jazeera English filmmaker and journalist)

“If you remember what was called the Flour Massacre in February of 2024, this was maybe the first mass killing of Palestinians, starving Palestinians trying to get food. It was, it reverberated across, it actually made headlines everywhere. I think we were all extremely shocked. It is happening every single day now. Every single day, starving Palestinians are shot while they’re trying to get food. It’s been happening since May 27th…This whole campaign, it’s an attempt to completely destroy Palestinian society. To make people also turn on each other. That’s what starvation does. You end up cooking food and not giving it to your cousin because you have your kids to feed. This is part of this design. And it’s happening before our eyes. And we’re watching children die every day and adults die every day of starvation. And they’re killing the witnesses.” – Sharif Abdel Kouddous

Omar El Akkad on the SILENCE of Western Media: “It is an admirable thing, in a politics possessed of a moral floor, to believe one can change the system from the inside, that with enough respectful prodding the establishment can be made to bend, like that famous arc, toward justice. But when, after decades of such thinking, decades of respectful prodding, the condition one arrives at is reticent acceptance of genocide, is it not at least worth considering that you are not changing the system nearly as much as the system is changing you?”

“Israel has turned into a nation, if not of murderers, then of war criminals, because Israel’s is not a nonrepresentative army. It’s a citizen army…Either you’re carrying out the execution the genocide, or your son is carrying out the genocide, or your daughter is carrying out the genocide, or your father is carrying out the genocide, or your brother is carrying out the genocide. And there’s no question, or quarrel, that were they the relatives in the shoes of those who are carrying out the genocide, they wouldn’t be carrying it out reluctantly. That is factually untrue. They are carrying it out joyfully, euphorically, enthusiastically. They’re posting the horrors committed by them, all over social media with the knowledge that they’re not going to be ostracized for posting what they’re doing. Their pop singers compose songs like, May Gaza burn. May Gaza burn.” – Professor Norman Finkelstein

Israel has Always had the Most Powerful Partners in Crime
Allowing Israel to survive in its current form, after its decades long, violent and dehumanizing occupation, and now genocide too, would be akin to recognizing Nazi Germany as a sovereign state at the end of the Nazi Holocaust. From the British Empire, to the US Empire (both had the largest and most dominant militaries of their time), Israel/Zionists have always had the most powerful allies. I am not an expert, but it seems obvious that Israel will be difficult to dismantle. It is not just the Jewish supremacist government that is fanatical, but the entire society too. And if that weren’t enough, Israel owns most US politicians in the executive, and legislative branches, as well as in Congress. It also has tremendous influence on a big chunk of the educational system in the United States as well.

The biggest reason the US-Israeli Genocide continues, is because it is exceedingly lucrative for the soulless billionaires, institutions, and corporations, including Microsoft, MIT, Google, Amazon, BlackRock, and Vanguard. Thank goodness, there are courageous people like the great Francesca Albanese, who literally risks her life (and knowing the nature of Israel, the lives of her family members as well), to expose the crimes of Israel, and to a lesser extent, the United States. I have read that Ms. Albanese receives death threats on a daily basis. Her report, From Economy Occupation to Economy Genocide, is groundbreaking.
Image: Unknown
According to the always excellent Chris Hedges, “War is a business. So is genocide. The latest report submitted by Francesca Albanese, Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, lists 48 corporations and institutions, including Palantir Technologies Inc., Lockheed Martin, Alphabet Inc., Amazon, International Business Machine Corporation (IBM), Caterpillar Inc., Microsoft Corporation and Massachusetts Institue of Technology (MIT), along with banks and financial firms such as Blackrock, insurers, real estate firms and charities, which in violation of international law are making billions from the occupation and the genocide of Palestinians. The report, which includes a database of over 1,000 corporate entities that collaborate with Israel, demands these firms and institutions sever ties with Israel or be held accountable for complicity in war crimes. It describes “Israel’s “forever-occuption” as “the ideal testing ground for arms manufacturers and Big Tech – providing significant supply and demand, little oversight, and zero accountability – while investors and private and public institutions profit freely.” The post-Holocaust industrialists’ trials and the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission laid the legal framework for recognizing the criminal responsibility of institutions and businesses that participate in international crimes. This new report makes clear that decisions made by the International Court of Justice place an obligation on entities “to not engage and/or to withdraw totally and unconditionally from any associated dealings, and to ensure that any engagement with Palestinians enables their self-determination.” “The genocide in Gaza has not stopped because it’s lucrative, it’s profitable for far too many,” Albanese told me. “It’s a business. There are corporate entities, including from Palestine-friendly states, who have for decades made businesses and made profits out of the economy of the occupation. Israel has always exploited Palestinian land, resources and Palestinian life. The profits have continued and even increased as the economy of the occupation transformed into an economy of genocide…Genocide requires a vast network and billions of dollars to sustain it. Israel could not carry out its mass slaughter of the Palestinians without this ecosystem. These entities, which profit from industrial violence against the Palestinians and mass displacement, are as guilty of genocide as the Israeli militray units decimating the people in Gaza. They too are war criminals, They too must be held accountable.”
From Economy Occupation to Economy Genocide
A report from the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, Francesca Albanese
Here are excerpts from the UN report:
Conclusions (5 of 7)
1. While life in Gaza is being obliterated and the West Bank is under escalating assault, the present report shows why the genocide carried out by Israel continues: because it is lucrative for many. By shedding light on the political economy of an occupation turned genocidal, the report reveals how the forever-occupation has become the ideal testing ground for arms manufacturers and big tech – providing boundless supply and demand, little oversight and zero accountability – while investors and private and public institutions profit freely. Too many influential corporate entities
remain inextricably financially bound to Israeli apartheid and militarism.
2. Post-October 2023, as the Israeli defence budget has doubled, and at a time of falling demand, production and consumer confidence, an international network of corporations has propped up the Israeli economy. Blackrock and Vanguard rank among the largest investors in arms companies pivotal to the genocidal arsenal of Israel. Major global banks have underwritten Israeli treasury bonds, which have bankrolled the devastation, and the largest sovereign wealth and pension funds invested public and private savings in the genocidal economy, all the while claiming to respect ethical
guidelines.
3. Arms companies have turned over near record profits by equipping Israel with cutting-edge weaponry that has devastated a virtually defenceless civilian population. The machinery of global construction equipment giants has been instrumental in razing Gaza to the ground, preventing the return and reconstitution of Palestinian life. Extractive energy and mining conglomerates, while providing sources of civilian energy, have fuelled the military and energy infrastructures of Israel – both used to create conditions of life calculated to destroy the Palestinian people.
4. The entities named in the present report constitute a fraction of a much deeper structure of corporate involvement, profiteering from and enabling violations and crimes in the occupied Palestinian territory. Had they exercised due diligence, corporate entities would have ceased involvement with Israel long ago. Today, the demand for accountability is all the more urgent: any investment sustains a system of serious international crimes.
5. Business and human rights obligations cannot be isolated from the Israeli illegal settler-colonial enterprise in the occupied Palestinian territory, which now functions as a genocidal machine, despite the International Court of Justice having ordered that it be fully and unconditionally dismantled. Corporate relations with Israel must cease until the occupation and apartheid end and reparations are made. The corporate sector, including its executives, must be held to account, as a necessary step towards ending the genocide and disassembling the global system of racialized capitalism that underpins it.
Artist: Carlos Latuff
The report also includes the specific violations and crimes of some of the biggest, and most well known entities on Earth:
Microsoft – Microsoft has been active in Israel93 since 1991, developing its largest centre outside the United States. Its technologies are embedded in the prison service, police, universities and schools – including in colonies.Microsoft has been integrating its systems and civilian tech across the Israeli military95 since 2003, while acquiring Israeli cybersecurity and surveillance start-ups.
Google & Amazon – As Israeli apartheid, military and population-control systems generate increasing volumes of data, its reliance on cloud storage and computing has grown. In 2021, Israel awarded Alphabet Inc. (Google) and Amazon.com, Inc. a $1.2 billion contract (Project Nimbus), largely funded through Ministry of Defense expenditure, to provide core tech infrastructure.
BlackRock & Vanguard (see conclusion #2 above)
IBM – IBM has operated in Israel since 1972, training military and intelligence personnel – especially from Unit 8200 – for the technology sector and start-up scene. Since 2019, IBM Israel has operated and upgraded the central database of the Population and Immigration Authority, enabling collection, storage and governmental use of biometric data on Palestinians, and supporting the discriminatory permit regime of Israel. Before IBM, Hewlett Packard Enterprises (HPE) maintained the database and its Israeli subsidiary is still providing servers. Hewlett Packard (HP) has long enabled the apartheid systems of Israel, supplying technology to the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the prison service and police. Since the 2015 split of the company into Hewlett Packard Enterprises and HP Inc., opaque business structures have obscured the roles of their seven remaining Israeli subsidiaries.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) – Drones, hexacopters and quadcopters have also been omnipresent killing machines in the skies of Gaza.68 Drones largely developed and supplied by Elbit Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries have long flown alongside fighter jets, surveilling Palestinians and delivering target intelligence. In the past two decades, with support from these companies and collaborations with institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, drones used by Israel acquired automated weapons systems and the ability to fly in swarm formation.
The Genocide in Gaza Exposes the Racist Views, and Psychopathy, of Friends, Family, & Society
Is America slowly waking up? A new poll from Gallup suggests that only 32 percent of Americans now approve of the US-Israeli Genocide in Gaza, which is a 10-point drop from September 2024. Overall, 60 percent of respondents said they disapprove of Israel’s military action in Gaza. As per Al Jazeera, “Shibley Telhami, a professor at the University of Maryland and the director of the Critical Issues Poll, said the latest survey shows a trend of growing discontent with Israel that goes beyond the war on Gaza. “What we’re seeing here is an entrenchment of a generational paradigm among particularly young Americans, mostly Democrats and independents, but even some young Republicans, who now perceive the horror in Gaza in a way of describing the character of Israel itself,” Telhami told Al Jazeera.

Another Friendship Bites the Dust Due to Racist/Zionist Beliefs
An old friend recently tried to call me out on social media for vehemently opposing the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza. Despite the international consensus that Israel is committing a genocide, he still maintained, without evidence, that Israel’s Genocide is simply a “terrible war” and “Not genocide”. He then repeated debunked Israeli propaganda by claiming that “the fault for all the suffering in Gaza lays on Hamas”. Once again, my heart was broken by the loss of another friend/family member, who surprised me with his ignorance, and Islamophobic/racist beliefs. My former friend (and now genocide supporter), is a vegan, and an outspoken animal rights advocate, who attended one of the top 3 universities in the United States. He is not white, or Jewish, but a pro-establishment type, who must see himself as part of the ruling elite. We are all flawed, but why do so many of our family and friends (vegan or not), who possess goodness, often have racist/psychopathic beliefs as well? Why are so many Americans unable to think critically on issues surrounding truth, justice, and human rights? Where is the moral consistency? How can they remain SILENT (or worse), two years into a Genocide, and continue to support the mass murder of our brothers, sisters, and CHILDREN in Palestine? Having grown up in a racist community, the only explanation that makes sense to me, is understanding that the United States is still a white supremacist society, and that racism can easily lead to psychopathy. Interestingly, according to PubMed, the American Psychiatric Association has rejected classifying “supremacy” as a mental illness, arguing that because it is so pervasive in society, it is a cultural or systemic problem, and not a singular pathology.
My first response to my former friend’s wildly misinformed opening salvo (for anyone dealing with supremacist/Zionist types):
“The US-Israeli genocide in Gaza is one of the worst crimes in human history. I am not shocked by your comments because you have been silent (and silence my friend is complicity), but I am somewhat surprised that you are unable to think critically on the horrifying events in Palestine. Are you suggesting that the International Criminal Court (ICC), the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Human Rights Watch, the United Nations, Amnesty International, Doctors Without Borders, Over 1,000 legal scholars, and countless other experts and human rights organizations (including B’Tselem), are all wrong in concluding that Israel is committing a genocide? Do you not agree that genocide is the evil of all evils? Do you not know Israel is/was an apartheid state, and that Palestinians have been living in an open air concentration camp, and subjected to mass murder campaigns for decades? For the record, Hamas offered to release all of the hostages on multiple occasions, but Israel, being the “satanic state” that it is, refused. They don’t care. How many Israelis did the IOF kill on October 7th via the Hannibal directive? Also, Israel is holding thousands of Palestinians hostage in prisons, including CHILDREN (where they are being starved, tortured, beaten, and raped, and yes, it’s documented). Anyone who still supports Israel at this point of the GENOCIDE, via willful ignorance, or for other reasons, can only be sociopathic. If we are still communicating in a few years (if our species survives), I suspect that you will be asking for forgiveness, not from me, but from the millions of our brothers and sisters in Palestine, whom you have betrayed. All children are our children. Did you know that 70% of the Palestinians killed are women and children? I suspect that you are getting your “news” from mainstream media sources, which are nothing more than propaganda tools for the US empire. I can’t be friends with anyone who supports Israel at this point. It would be like being friends with a KKK member, or a Nazi Holocaust denier (if you ever have a change of heart, please reach out as I will always be here for you). You are choosing the side of evil my friend, and it sounds like for whatever reasons, you haven’t done your homework too. You can’t 2 sides genocide. I am reminded of the Arthur Schopenhauer quote, “All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.” I have written extensively on this subject, and I have shared a few posts below, if you are interested.””

Most of my points and questions were completely ignored, as my response was met with more pro-Zionist, debunked Israeli claims from my former friend, such as “If Israel wanted to commit genocide, all of Gaza would be dead tomorrow”, and “Israel has made countless offers for peace everyone has been rejected and met with violence”. And while Isra-hell and the US are purposely starving Palestinian children to death, he actually wrote, “Name another war where one side is responsible for feeding their enemies who want to kill them.”, as he accused anyone who speaks out against Israel’s genocide in Gaza as “supporting terrorists”. Once I realized that I was communicating with a wall, I gave up on any hopes of a discussion. Finally, while US-Israeli forces continued to commit war crimes, crimes against humanity, and Genocide, my former friend proudly punctuated his message with an Israeli flag emoji. Man, talk about every accusation being a confession! Like most racists, and sociopaths who I have encountered in my lifetime, the mountain of evidence that I shared with my old friend was once again disregarded. Truth and justice are unimportant to people who are willfully ignorant, and full of hate, and fear.
“I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain.” – James Baldwin
My second Response, which was also ignored by the Israeli genocide supporter (former friend):
“I grew up in a white supremacist household, and I know racism & Islamophobia when I see it. We are all flawed, but you may want to talk to somebody. Do you know that most racists don’t know they’re racist? I also noticed that you didn’t address any of my points and questions in my previous message. Growing up, I learned that distraction, and deflection were the only options for the racist people in my life, who had no leg to stand on. I also learned that it doesn’t matter how many times racists, elitists, and psychopaths are proven wrong, they are always going to believe what they want to believe, regardless of the truth. For the benefit of a potential audience (people who speak out against the US-Israeli genocide are having their posts censored and suppressed on social media), I will repeat the parts of the previous message that you seemed to ignore:…Finally, every exhausted trope that you are regurgitating from the US government, and state media (legacy media is essentially state media), have been debunked. On the subject of critical thinking, here is a Noam Chomsky quote that I started sharing with my students that Israel supporters may want to consider: “Nobody is going to pour truth into your brain. It’s something you have to find out for yourself”. For racists, the truth is fatal to their beliefs, so they want no part of critical thinking. I am not a psychologist, and I could be wrong, but I suspect that your apparent, Islamophobia, is preventing you from learning the truth.
I will close on these last two thoughts:
Human Rights & Environmental lawyer, Steven Donziger, is a trusted source, who does tremendous work. He has estimated that Israel (and the US), have killed over 434,800 Palestinians in Gaza since October 8, 2023 ( 20.7% of Gaza’s entire pre-conflict population). If the same level of murder and indirect death that took place in Gaza, happened in the United States proportional to population, roughly 70 million Americans would have been killed.

And finally, this from per Omer Bartov, professor of Holocaust and genocide studies at Brown University: “Gaza has a distinction of having the largest number of children missing limbs per capita in the world. And many of those have been amputated, of course, without any medication. We have 40,000 children in Gaza who lost one or both parents. So this is described now as the greatest orphan crisis in modern history. We have 41% of the families who are carrying the children who are not their own, 14,000 women who lost their husbands, one of five babies who were born immaturally or underweight. And of course, many of them will die because there’s no medical services anymore. And miscarriages rising 300% since October 23, all of which would come under subsection D of the Genocide Convention, which speaks about imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group. So in that sense, we will probably not know the precise numbers. And there may be an argument as to whether it’s 5% of the population or much higher than that. And right now, we are facing a huge crisis in terms of starvation, that even if there were massive supplies of food now, they have to not only continue, but be accompanied also by a great deal of medical support. So we don’t know what the numbers precisely are, but clearly A, this comes under the definition of genocide, and B, the human toll, both in lives, and of course children who will never recover, a whole generation of children who make up half of the population of Gaza, who will never recover from the physical and the psychological impact of this war for the rest of their lives. This is an absolute catastrophe and simply cannot be described as anything but a genocide or campaign…”

And there you have it, another person’s true colors being exposed by the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza. Unsurprisingly, my former friend ignored my questions, and the truth. Unfortunately, he is not alone.

“Israel isn’t just exposing itself, it’s exposing its supporters. It’s showing us that we’re surrounded by psychopaths who think genocide is fine. Friends. Family members. Coworkers. They all have a big fat “I would’ve supported Hitler in Nazi Germany” sign around their necks now.” – Journalist Caitlin Johnstone
Education in Gaza
Image: Palestinian students (Middle East Monitor)
Did you know that before the genocide, Gaza had one of the highest literacy rates in the world, reaching 97 percent? And that enrollment rates in secondary education was 90 percent, and enrollment in higher education was 45 percent?
Excerpts: “One of the main reasons for this success was that education in Gaza was completely free in the primary and secondary stages. Government- and UNRWA-run schools were open to all Palestinian children, ensuring equal opportunities for everyone. Textbooks were distributed for free, and families received support to buy bags, notebooks, pens, and school uniforms…The cost of education amid genocide: Since October 2023, the Zionist war machine has systematically targeted schools, universities, and educational infrastructure. According to UN statistics, 496 out of 564 schools – nearly 88 percent – have been damaged or destroyed. In addition, all universities and colleges in Gaza have been destroyed. More than 645,000 students have been deprived of classrooms, and 90,000 university students have had their education disrupted.”

If I Must Die – Refaat Alareer

“Don’t forget that Palestine was first and foremost occupied in Zionist literature, and Zionist poetry” – Refaat Alareer (2021)
Refaat Alareer was a Palestinian poet, writer, professor, and father of six. He was just 44 years old, when he was MURDERED by Israeli forces in 2023. I highly recommend his superb, posthumously published book, “If I Must Die, Poetry and Prose”.
I have shared a few excerpts below. RIP Mr. Alareer, and thank you.
(1) Why would Israel bomb a university?
“Why would Israel bomb a university? Some say Israel attacked IUG (Islamic University of Gaza), just to punish its twenty thousand students or to push Palestinians to despair. While that is true, to me IUG’s only danger to the Israeli occupation and its apartheid regime is that it is the most important place in Gaza to develop students’ minds as indestructible weapons. Knowledge is Israel’s worst enemy. Awareness is Israel’s most hated and feared foe. That’s why Israel bombs a university: it wants to kill openness and determination to refuse living under injustice and racism. But again, why does Israel bomb a school? Or a hospital? Or a mosque? Or a twenty-story building? Could it be, as Shylock put it, “a merry sport”?”
(2) My Child Asks, “Can Israel Destroy the Building If the Power is Out?”
“My Child Asks, “Can Israel Destroy the Building If the Power Is Out?”
May 13, 2021
On Tuesday night, my wife, six children and I huddled in the living room of our apartment, the place least likely to take a stray hit from Israeli missiles or the debris they scatter. We were watching Al Jazeera’s live streaming of Israeli warplanes’ imminent destruction of al-Jawharah (The Gem), one of Gaza’s largest buildings, when the power went out. Linah, eight years old—or, in Gazan time, two wars old— asked sheepishly if “they” could still destroy our building now that the power had gone out….As the habit goes in Gaza, when parents end a children’s story, we offer a little rhyming refrain: “Toota toota, khalasat el hadoota. Hilwa walla maltouta?” (“The story is over. Was it nice or not?”) The kids usually shout back, “Maltouta!”—meaning “not nice” and that another story is in order. On Tuesday, when I asked the question, Linah and Amal replied nervously, in unison: “Hilwa.” “Nice.” No more. Most Gazans I know have barely gotten any rest since the beginning of the week. As my friend Hassan Arafat tweeted: “We do not sleep; we just faint with fatigue…There are no high-tech warning systems here to alert us to incoming missiles or tell us to take shelter. We have to learn to read the patterns of Israel’s wanton strikes. Being a good parent in Gaza means developing a knack for what Israel’s drones and F-16s will do next. On Wednesday night, after two hours of nonstop bombardment and Israeli missiles raining down all over the Strip— some landing just a few hundred meters away from our building—we finally managed to catch some sleep. The missiles shake the whole area for several seconds. Then you hear screams. Shouting. More screams. Whole families turn out onto the street. Our kids were all sat up in bed, shaking, saying nothing. Then comes the intolerable indecision: I am caught between wanting to take the family outside, despite the missiles, shrapnel and falling debris, and staying at home, like sitting ducks for the American-made, Israeli-piloted planes. We stayed at home. At least we would die together, I thought. These days, as we lie in the darkness at night, I fear the worst—and I fear the best. If we come out of this alive, how will my children’s psyches fare in the years to come, living in constant dread of the next attack? On Tuesday, Linah asked her question again after my wife and I didn’t answer it the first time: Can they destroy our building if the power is out? I wanted to say: “Yes, little Linah, Israel can still destroy the beautiful al-Jawharah building, or any of our buildings, even in the darkness. Each of our homes is full of tales and stories that must be told. Our homes annoy the Israeli war machine, mock it, haunt it, even in the darkness. It can’t abide their existence. And, with American tax dollars and international immunity, Israel presumably will go on destroying our buildings until there is nothing left.” But I can’t tell Linah any of this. So I lie: “No, sweetie. They can’t see us in the dark.”
(3) There has Always Been a Siege
“I usually like to talk about the siege being “tightened” in 2006, because there has always been a siege. When the occupation starts, when colonization starts, it besieges the people at the same time. It restricts the movement of people who want to travel, people who want to seek medical treatment, or who just want to travel for fun, for business, for studies. I remember when I was in grade seven, and the teacher asked a question. There was a passage in the book that counts Arab countries, and there was a strange blank space in the middle, and he said, “Can anybody guess what’s going on here?” We didn’t know, we were little kids. He said the space was the word “Palestine” in Arabic. It was erased because the Israeli military controls the books that come to Gaza. I remember an article from Ha’aretz from about five years ago, when an Israeli zoo was categorizing a gazelle as a “Palestinian gazelle,” giving it the scientific name. And there was an uproar. Many Israelis protested, like, “Why are you using the word? You should be sued for this. You shouldn’t say Palestinian at all. This is the state of siege. Israel wants to control its people, and also wants to control us more, even the word “Palestine.” I remember friends in the first intifada who spent six months in prison for raising the Palestinian flag or for having a tiny picture of [Palestine Liberation Organization chairman] Yasser Arafat, or for sometimes wearing a T-shirt with a keffiyeh or something. So the siege has always been there: what to wear, what to do, what to say, where to go, where not to go. But fifteen years ago, it was tightened to the extent of suffocation, when literally the Israelis were counting the calories entering Gaza. It’s a little bit better now, things improved a little bit. But it’s improved because it’s part of this political game. Gaza is being used as a lab. They test everything. They want to starve us, to starve Palestinians. I think the unemployment rate reached 45 to 50 percent sometime in Gaza, too. We’ve seen reports of Israel not allowing chocolates in. Why? Because they want to tell the world, to tell us, that we are going to control you no matter what you do. And this is what we refuse as Palestinians. We reject Israeli rule. We don’t want to submit to Israeli rule. And the more barbaric, the more brutal Israel goes, the more resilient and the more determined Palestinians become. The leaders of today are the very little kids twenty years ago, seeing other people killed by Israel. And the Israeli terror, the Israeli massacres did not terrorize those people to become cowards, to give up, to say, “oh my God, we can’t fight back, we can’t.” No. They grew up to be leaders. If you follow this from a military point of view, when Israel kills military leaders, the ones that come are more determined, more ferocious, in a sense, to fight back, to create new ways to hopefully contribute to ending Israeli occupation. We have long given up on the international community, on America or Europe, because these are the very people protecting Israel and sending Israel the weapons. In 2014, when Israel ran out of some kind of shells, I think, they just opened the doors to American warehouses inside occupied Palestine and they took as many as they wanted, because America is here to protect Israel. We see how Israel is even interfering in American politics, but no one wants to talk about that either. So the Palestinian public opinion is that there is no way that officially America is going to do anything or Europe is going to interfere. All they can do is just lip service. And the media is complicit, sadly…But we are very hopeful that the grassroots—the organizations, the unions, the people who vote—can say something. The more people take to the street, the more hope we have that this is going to have an impact.”

“There are very few good people in power. Power and privilege are deeply corrupting. I thank my lucky stars, I never pursued a path in life, such that I ended up being either rich, or powerful, because I don’t believe it’s possible to be either or both without being morally depraved” – Norman Finkelstein

In addition to Mr. Alareer’s superb work, I also strongly recommend Rashid Khalidi’s excellent book, “The 100 Years’ War on Palestine”. I am not surprised to learn that Mr. Khalidi will no longer be teaching at Columbia University, due in part, to Columbia’s continued support of the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza, and its opposition to anyone who speaks out against it.

“For heaven’s sake, children, Fascism isn’t coming, it’s here. It’s dreadful. Stop it.”
– Author and Poet Dorothy Parker, 1951 (when called in front of the House Un-American Activities Committee)
Most US politicians in the executive, and legislative branches, as well as in Congress, need to be investigated for war crimes, and acts of genocide. If found guilty, they should be held to the same standards as the Nazis at Nuremberg, and hanged.
Otherwise, we have no future.

“The general population doesn’t know what’s happening, and it doesn’t even know that it doesn’t know.” – Noam Chomsky
Israel targets, and MURDERS children. And then laughs about it. Israel is a satanic state, and arguably, the most EVIL shit-storm in human history (see its decades long dehumanizing occupation, war crimes, ethnic cleansing, and genocide). Israel, a settler colonial power, built on Jewish supremacy, also possesses an estimated 300-400 nuclear warheads. Until Israel, and the United States, are held accountable, our planet will remain in great peril. And don’t take my word for it. According to the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, we are now “closer than ever” to nuclear annihilation.
People need to know that resistance is not terrorism. Especially when US politicians, and the Western media try to blame Hamas for everything. Hamas is an elected political body, and is not the problem. Israel and the United States, on the other hand, are the two biggest agents of terror in the world, and the greatest threats to the survival of our species. Both Israel and the United States MUST be held accountable, and MUST never be forgiven for the GENOCIDE in Gaza.
Again, there is no danger. We ARE the danger.
Until next time…
